Side Trips: Up Close and Personal with Viki The Summoner

At first I was surprised to see some players broadcasting "Buying Caboose need many. PM offer..." I thought it was a joke because who would need that much "almost useless" cabooses for an offered price. Well, I finally heard from my factionmates that Viki's quest is already available. Woah! Like I was really excited to have his card. Anyway, my friend/factionmate Gustavo of Outcasts faction (Caracci) already started his quests early dawn December 26. The whole faction gave him all the goodlucks. He said he spent almost 100 million Vis just for the strange items. T.T Sadly, I don't have that much vis, so I better start farming for those strange thingies. I went to Viki's hut to take his quest before I log out and hopefully finish it by next Wednesday. Then when I logged in that night the same day I was really amazed to see Gustavo training his Viki, which was already level 65. Wow, addict! Haha. That was really fast. He was having trouble though because Viki doesn't have enough SP yet to summon Ararat. But thanks to the +9% Max SP Gloves that Southernsky sold him, that is no longer a problem. Im not sure if he is the first to have Viki in the Caracci Server, I hope he is, and me and Southernsky will be the first to take a look at Viki and his summon Ararat. Here are some of the screenies I took with Gustavo and Southernsky:

Giant Ararat overlooking the mob in the background.

Whaaam! Eat my fist! - Ararat

The Journey: Christus Family, the Past and the Present

It's been 4 months since I started playing Granado Espada. And I am really happy to see how my family have grown. Many monsters have been fought, a number of missions have been accomplished, and most important, a lot of friendships have been gained.

"This has been my second world. And my characters, my second identity. A lot of times I have celebrated our achievements and a lot of times I have cried for our failures. But the feeling never ceased. The fight not yet over. My second identity will continue to roam its world. And this blog will be our diary..."

Sadly, I will not be able to continue some of what I have started in this blog because of time constraints. I wanted to continue sharing my experiences during CW's but as you can see I cannot post any more stories, actually all of stories pile up in my drafts folder because I am not able to finish any. Yet I will still continue to post interesting events in my GE life. Some personal ideas and tips to aid you in the game. Just keep on visiting guys. Let's enjoy Granado Espada. ^^

The Journey: One Lucky Day

First encounter with Guerrero. Ouch, he really hits bad.

It was the last day of my free 90-day gameplay. I went to Warzone in L.Guinto and bought some cards to reload my account when I felt an urge to play for at least an hour. And so I did, even if I am sleepy because of the last night's work at a call center. I am actually not in the mood to grind for just an hour so I just spent my time doing MM window shopping. Then suddenly in the Faction's chat window, a factionmate posted the appearance of Gurrero at channel 2 Gehenna Bridge. It wasn't my first time joining Guerrero Raid, as you can see above I died several times. I went immediately, equipped with my LOAA +94% attack to demons (cool huh? ^^). As expected, my fighter died ( my characters are only level 95 that time with no elite equips ) but my wizard was able to survive because she can fight in range. I can see the HP of Guerrero going down until loots scattered on the floor. I was really surprised to see one item highlighted with my family name. Wow! It's a wooden controller. ^^ Haha. It was my first time to get a Raid Boss loot and it was a very good one. It was really one lucky day. Now I'm more eager to join boss hunting, hoping to get elites next time.

The Journey: A picture to keep

I was just passing by the Market Manager when I notice this 3 beautiful ladies sitting on the floor and realized that they were Miss Veya's characters. I wanted to have a chat with her but she seems busy so I just took a screenie but unfortunately these GE version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blocked the view. The picture below is all I got. I tried to take another one but Miss Veya just disappeared. Huhu. Well, better luck to me next time. Hope to see you again ingame Miss Veya.

The Journey: Outcasts Faction, the Faction Quests

It was Saturday, and as planned, we did our Faction Quest LVL 51 and 52. We started it by taking pictures of the group.

Hey, Where are my characters?

Anyway, after those say-cheese moments, we headed to Vegas Javier and prepared for the Great Hill Giant (GHG)

Actually, I have no intention to fight. I just wanna take some screenshots. :P

A close up of my characters.

And there is the Great Hill Giant. Stepping on me like i am just one of Catherine's dolls.

Victory!

It was then time to face the Chrysallis.

13 brave people willing to sacrifice their lives. Lols.

See how willing we are to die?

After passing through many Fallen Champions and Vladimirs, we managed to meet Dr. Fran Morthein and defeated him. We then fought and cooked the Chicken-winged Chrysallis. Yummy!

Burp! It was then time to rest and prepare for the last fight. It's a bit crowded though inside Princess' room.

Too crowded that when it was time to start the last mission my PC crushed down and I never got to join. *sob* Well the story won't be complete if I don't post at least a screenshot of what happened inside. Above is a shot taken by our deputy †Bayushi†. Thanks fafs! And cheers to our faction -- Go Outcasts! :D

If your interested to get this little guy, here is a complete quest guide on how, some parts courtesy of Southernsky.

You can only start Viki's quest on a Wednesday wherein Dr. Torsche is at Viki's House in El Tejado Verde. Here is the quest guide:

Part I:Go to Viki's House (Tejado Verde, G3). Talk to Dr Torsche. Talk to Viki. Talk twice to any boy or girl in Reboldoeux. They'll then ask you to go talk Diego and Lisa.

Part II:Talk to Diego about Robot R 90
--- Hunt Wild Boars at Cathari Falls for 20 Wildboar's Molar
--- Crate Octopus at Jezebel Glen for 20 Laminated Jezebelium
--- Phobitan Warrior at Tetra Great Ruins for 5 Roboten Jewels
--- Bring all these items to Diego, and he'll build Robot R90

Part III:Talk to Lisa about Cacao
--- She'll ask you to bring 300 Cabosse, found on any Phobitan to the Old Lady Cabosse, Coimbra G10. She needs regular Cabosse, not quest items, so you can hunt these at any time or keep those you got when crossing Tetra Hills/Ruins/Grand Corridor, Lago Celeste, Rio Alibi, or Vegas Javier.
--- The Old Lady Cabosse transforms 300 Cabosse into 50 Cacao Mass and 50 Cacao Butter
--- Bring Cacao Mass and Cacao Butter to Lisa. She'll take it and 5.000 vis and make Cacao Sonador.

Part IV:Bring Cacao Sonador and Robot R90 to Viki. Reward, 3 Exp Card lvl 70 (64.000)
--- A mission will start. On a Picnic with Viki, Torsche and Ulrik, you get attacked by tons of Spiders.
--- After defeating Spiders, it would appear that Cherlyn is behind all this . Cherlyn summons a Treasure Golem (lvl 60, 80.000 HP). You can fight it away from Cherlyn if you can't handle those 2 enemies.
--- At a certain moment, Viki will summon Ararat, which will help you defeat Cherlyn. Once the battle is over, go talk to Ararat. You'll get a Heart of Steel.
--- After you finished the mission, talk back to Viki, he'll reward you with a lvl 64 Enchantment Chip.

Part V:Talk to Ulrik, he will ask you to go for a hunt :
--- Hornets at Stone Pit for 100 Trasinix Jewels
--- Sickle Dragonfly Larvae at Ferrucio Junction for 100 Koenig Jewels
--- Little Comodo at Cathari Falls for 100 Sterten Chrome
Bring everything back to Ulrik. He'll ask you another hunt
--- Lightning Striped Spider at El Tejado Verde for 100 Molythea Block
--- Little Plaque Rouge at Tetra Hill for 100 Fire Cube
--- Corlian Slasher at El Lago de Tres Hermanas for 100 Graft Block

Part VI:Bring everything back to Ulrik. He'll ask for 1 Mamund and 1 Strong Heart. For the Strong Heart go talk to Dr Torsche in his mansion (not the one in the Cabin, if it's still wednesday).
Dr Torsche asks for 100 Otite Chips (regular item, not quest item) and 20 pieces of each Strange item (rare drops of some Torsche's Mansion's monsters, not quest items, so you can hunt at any time) :
- 20 Strange Spring
- 20 Strange Tube (Drop by Hollow Footman)
- 20 Strange Gear (Drop by Haunted Candles and Haunted Desk)
- 20 Strange Hinge (Drop by Haunted Desk)
- 20 Strange Clock (Drop by Lloyd and Haunted Book)
Once you got everything, bring it back to Dr Torsche in his manor and receive 1 Strong Heart and 1 Summon.
For the Mamund, go to Pradera de Ceniza (map lvl 60-62) and hunt for the mini-boss, Violent Gehcos (one big dog level 65).
The Mamund will drop at low chance.

Part VII: Bring Mamund and Strong Heart to Ulrik, who will take it, and all the quest items you gathered for him this far.
--- Then talk to Viki and you'll be transported to a mission : after a short talk, just kill Cherlyn and her Hill Giant (very easy fight).
--- Talk to Ulrik, and after the discussion, Ulrik will ask you to take care of Viki : you now have Viki Card (and Amicus book) ! Congratulations !
